Come to Ken, Tim and Laura's Birthday party!
Soon, we'll all be a little bit older... and I figured as good a day as any to celibrate would be the 4th of July. (Hey, how could 300 million Americans be wrong?)
So, come to Mt Waverly and wish us well, eat, drink and blow things up. (If we claim to be American we are allowed to let off fire works right?).

It's a strange feeling that on Thursday the 28th at 9:35pm (If anyone's free I'll pay you for a lift home) I will be back in Melbourne where I understand the public transport and I have to worry about what day of the week it is again...

I'm on my way!
Hey Everyone, I'm sitting in Melbourne international terminal right now and in about 24 hours after screwing arround briefly in Singapore and Amsterdam I will begin my European tour in Stokholm, Sweden.
Thanks the lovely pr0zak driving me to the airport and the lovely goratrixx picking me up at another, everything is sorted and going fine.
I'm going to try to post stuff I see and do here...

Creepy Old Man
I'm in the process of planning my trip to Europe and while I'm there I wanted to see some of my favourite bands. Unfortunately in this crazy modern world, most EBM or Industrial bands use MySpace as their best source of information about gigs and releases. So I bit the bullet and and set myself up a MySpace page.
Well having a page with only "friends" as bands I can't possibly have ever met seemed sadder then having no friends at all so I set about finding people I knew.
At one point I looked at the list of people I'd invited to be my "friend" and they were all girls between 7 and 10 years younger then me... in particular one of them was called "ThE SaDdEsT GiRl YoU EvEr SaW" and her icon was a frightened looking 19 year old girl huddled in a corner. That made me feel a little creepy... of course the real creepy thing is that I took the photo in question.

Ow! My poor head
Well 2005 is over. I had some good times, some good luck, and many wonderful friends... But overall I'm pretty sure that it was the worst year of my life (and I've had some doozies). But if last night is anything to go by 2006 should be a blast.
Last night was seriously fun. :)
I celebrated at benji_w and his lovely wife's party. There were many lovely people, and best of all I appear to have been a bad influence on the general goings on. Somehow I managed to convince a significant number of the party goers to run around without their tops on... was involved with a whole lot of snogging attractive people... and despite all my drinking I didn't get too sick. (In my defense I think geekweevil is also strongly responsible for the general aura of debauchery).
Given the vast quantities on vodka I consumed I'm happy that I didn't seriously bother anyone (I didn't did I?). Well, if I did seriously both someone, then I am deeply sorry and please contact me so I can somehow make amends.
So I'll leave you with the details of my last act of idiocy for the night:
gwyntt was kind enough to give me a lift home... but when I flopped out of the car onto my nature strip I discovered that my keys and my phone were nowhere to be found. After a brief scramble through my possessions my keys were still lost... I was willing to catch a train back to benji_w's place and fossick on my own, but gwyntt drove lirion and I all the way back to the quite party house. After some scuffling around I found my keys (and my change, woo!) in the large tent and my phone deep in the couch... and thanks to gwyntt we all lived happily ever after (well I got driven home where I could pass out in my bed anyway).

The Small White Car is trashed...
This won't be an especially fascinating update, just a very significant event for me.
My lovely little hatch back is smashed up; I was driving along a road in one of the Monash car parks when a woman in a Saab turned left out of a side street and I couldn't stop in time to avoid hitting her front/right side.
Her care has some nasty dents and I think it might have been leaking water... but the poor Small White Car was all smashed up on the front and left.
I have insurance, but since this was in a car park and there weren't any really explicit signs or road lines the matter of who had right-of-way is not as cut and dry as I would have liked.
I hoping the insurance beasts can be convinced that it wasn't my fault so hopefully I won't have to pay much more money (I've already spent $170 on getting it towed).
But, all in all, while is sucks to not have my car over Christmas... at least the only injuries was a slightly bruised knee and a startled Avi.
